"I trained with Emily throughout my entire pregnancy – literally up until my due date which happened to be the day before I gave birth. Thanks to Em, I barely gained any weight and was able to retain my tone and strength throughout. I believe this was invaluable as I didn’t have any back pain or any other problems during pregnancy. I also think it helped prepare me physically for a natural birth and smooth labour. Post baby, my shoulders and back were strong and I didn’t get any of the usual aches and pains many women complain of. I had about three months off before resuming twice weekly workouts with Em and we are now gradually trying to build up to where I was before. Em has been understanding and caring throughout the entire process and knowing exactly how far to push me and she has been really interested in learning about the impact of pregnancy on the body which has helped me to have confidence in what we are doing together."
